Chef, Teacher, Trainer & Assessor
At Springhaven Meadows we have brought together our expertise in banana farming with the creativity of a well experienced chef and hospitality teacher Loretta Kreis, to produce beautifully tasting food from farm-fresh, natural Regal Banana Flour, and other 'Royal Family' products. Using these ingredients we are able to share with you some amazing recipes.
This collaboration is a family affair - the ladies are sisters.
Loretta is a Chef of 22 years. Most recently she has obtained a Bachelor of Learning Management (Secondary & VET) and is now a Hospitality and Home Economics Subject Co-ordinator with TAE Certificate IV qualifications. Her experience also extends to the bakery/pastry industry where she spent 7 1/2 years.
In her down-time Loretta's hobbies are developing recipes, cooking and producing celebration cakes.
You may be left wondering how she fits all these things in. It all comes back to PASSION! Loretta is passionate about raising awareness of the importance of healthy and sustainable food choices. She sees on a daily basis how individuals with special dietary requirements suffer from not eating the correct foods and also speaks with students who suffer from intolerance's and allergies. Together with her students she has slowly been developing foods suitable for these individuals to sell in the schools tuck shop. You can only imagine how excited these students are now that they don't feel 'left out'! It is no wonder that she is loving this additional role with Springhaven Meadows.
